  • Publix in Miami lakes fl

I have been shopping at publix for many years and ive never had a problem.however, last night I stopped at publix on 67th ave and 183rd street in miami, Florida. I had to urinate urgently, so I left my family in line waiting so that could relieve my bladder. The bathroom was disgusting!!!! Blood on the floor, used toilet paper on the floor, urine, and used paper towel. After washing my hands and urinating...I dried myself with the toilet paper orivided. About 5 minutes later I began to have slight discomfort and itching. I told my mom who said it happened to her friend before and it got so... More...

  • Manager

My mom shops at Publix Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach. She use to shop at Krogers that is in the next parking lot over. Her reason for switching was because she went to the grand opening of Publix where everyone was so nice and inviting. She did a medium food shop that day and was walked to her car by an employee who helped her put the groceries into her car. She loved that. Then she was handed a free coupon for spaghetti sauce that she could use on her next trip back to Publixs. She said "whats this?" and the employee said "its a Publix tradition we give the customers... More...

  • Management

I am a very frequent shopper at the Carolina Forest store in Myrtle Beach, SC Today I was disrespected in front of an employee by the assistant manager Michael McCormick. I was given the word the word of one of the lower managers that I would be offered a credit on a new parsley plant in the amount of $2.99. The customer service person (Chrissy) was chastised for not informing McCormick about my refund/credit and after questioning me as to the name of the employee that authorized the refund when I couldn't recall his name. McCormick was not personable, or friendly but talked to me... More...

  • Publix excellant service and information

I have been shopping at Publix for many years and have never had a single complaint. During the holidays I usually buy my turkeys at another location because I never knew Publix carried Glutton Free turkeys. After speaking to a meat manager named, Adam, he informed me that Publix does indeed carry Glutton Free turkeys they are just not marked GF. My suggestion would be to please mark these and any other items GF. Other than that I have absolutely no other complaints. As I have said I love Publix. • Deli Dept Coral Springs 2201 University Dr

I have shopped at this store for yrs, even before it was Publix. I avoid Deli Dept. employees rude and could care less about customer service. I have complained to Store Mgr Jeff in the past, he is not concerned and it he should be, it starts at the top. If he (Jeff) is not concerned about customer service, why should his employees. My food bill runs $900 to $1000 a month. I will be spending my money at a different store. Shame on management and Publix I would think your employee training would be the best, NOT!!!!!!!! More...

  • No customer service at Mt. Zion Publix

As a family we've been Publix shoppers since the 60's in Hollywood/Miramar. After moving to Atlanta, we talked about and waited for Publix to come to Georgia. At the Mt. Zion Publix (near me) things have been going downhill for quite some time. Go around 3 p.m. when folks are stopping on the way home and it's 2 Express and 2 Full Service lanes REGARDLESS of how many folks are there. I always place my Publix bags with my coupons on the belt. Today the coupons wound up on the floor as my distracted cashier (Kym) handed the bags to the bagger. After telling her what she did and... More...

  • Publix bakery personnel are rude and condescending

rude and condescending bakery people It couldn't care less about helping anyone and then when you finally wait for 15 minutes by my phone clock with no one else standing around as they straighten up cabinets and cakes. Then they have the nerve to look down there knows me when I want something written on the birthday cake and they have the nerve to tell me they're charging a few dollars extra for a single small rose on top of an overpriced birthday cake that has been frozen. Goodbye Publix hello Winn Dixie. More...
  • Publix is awful

Terrible service, particularly in the way of providing their promised service of Bama cash usage. As a student with limited funds, I saved up my dining dollars so that I could purchase my groceries throughout the summer months..However, the times that I have attempted to purchase my groceries, the machine has been "out of service". This isn't a situation that university students should have to pay for out of pocket, it's something that publix should have to cover after having advertised the ability to cover such expenditures. • Prices at Publix

My wife likes Publix, as do many others of her friends. They really are nice stores, so I understand that. But I'm the bread winner, and it hurts me to see the fruits of my labor being wasted. I don't understand why anyone would pay 20-40% higher prices because the store is neat and pretty. 2L soda that's often $1.00 elsewhere is 20% or more higher. Bananas .10 to .20 cents higher, Pringles $1.75 that are $1.39 at, say, WalMart. Box of pasta: $1.75. You know that's too high! Their meat and produce is better, I think, so I expect to pay more. I wonder if anyone ever does... More...

  • Pharmacy Security

I am a patient that must have monthly prescriptions for pain medication due to injuries and surgery. However, due to lack of security often times the medication if not available. I have figured a way to help patients and pharmacies. I believe pharmacies should be a secure as bank teller therefore, reducing the crime rate. With the extra security the criminal element will become detoured. Pharmacy insurance rates will also, decrease. More...

  • Publix pharmacy

I called in high blood pressure medicine on a Friday, went on Tuesday to pick it up and they said it was on back order from the company, but they could call another publix for me. Ok great, they couldn't let me know this three days ago. While there I was dropping off two more prescriptions. They said it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I said I would be back in an hour and 15 minutes to be safe. As a frequent shopper at Publix country isle store I needed to find my new home. I chose Weston town center which is a very nice store except for the deli counter. The employees are great but the wait is ridiculous. I have yet to be at the counter and wait less than 20 minutes!!!! I called the asst manager over this week after taking pics of the 10 people in line ahead of me! I walked out without my meats and cheese since I did not have 45 min. To wait! • Employees being mistreated

As a frequent customer at publix in sunrise fl, I have witnessed things that i cannot believe. I have seen employees be mistreated and talked to in very disrespectful manors. To ad to the situation a customer service staff asking a employee who obviously has a medical condition why she must use the restroom so frequently when it is not the other employees business. When i saw the young girl being asked such a question i could tell she felt very violated and uncomfortable. • Cheap bastard

I used to love publix and the good is still good (for the most part) but the publix company are such bastards now. They over price everything. I no longer get subs there due to the fact that one half at publix is 2 dollars more than a footlong at subway. Are you kidding me? Is rather drive the extra 10 min. One more thing that will hopefully get peoples attention. I volunteer at a local church and businesses like publix will donate food for our food drives. Good thing to do right? Wrong! They've only ever sent us meat. SPOILED MEAT! Everything they send us is spoiled. We have to go... More...

  • Opened and used

I usually go to Publix for most of my shopping needs. Last night, after a 10 hour day, I stopped at Publix to get some peanut butter. I went home put it in the pantry to use in the morning. The next morning, I discover that this peanut butter has been used and opened!!! Gross!! Am I supposed to open all peanut butters to make sure it is sealed?? So no breakfast for me. In this case, I had to go back to publix tonight after a 10 hr day just to make this mess right. I expected that I get an exchange and a refund as a courtesy for the inconvenience and to show that Publix cares about its... More...

My experience at publix is amazing every time! Along with me working there when I am off the clock and I am purchasing items i find the service there quite great. They ask me how I am and if i buy cat food they will ask what kind of cat i have and so forth. I really enjoy shopping there. My best product bought there was their whole milk. I LOVE IT. Along with their bakery fresh made bread. NOT ONE COMPLAINT THERE. I cant stress enough how happy i am to have such great co workers and an amazing experience any time i shop there. A friend bought of Publix Brand Macadamia Nuts. Nothing on can to tell where the nuts were harvested or from. Only that they were distributed by Publix. They are awful. Truly. The taste is terrible. Tried mixing with in other foods (cookies, recipe on can, etc.) and all were tainted by the poor taste of the nuts. My advice is that if you can't measure up to the competition, know when to fold. Better not to try than to fail this miserably. More...

  • Publix Pharmacy - Store number # 0317

I've been coming to this publix for over a year to pick up my prescriptions, and only stop by once a month (the publix closer to my home does not have a pharmacy section) and even though I don't come in everyday, there's a pharmacist who knows me by name. He seemed to have known everybody in the line yesterday and makes every person feel special. Mr. Rey Franco of the pharmacy dept makes my trip to publix an enjoyable experience. • Dependable, reliable exceptional service in Weston

Im sure that Publix's vary from store to store depending on the management. I want to report that in Weston, the store formerly managed by James Gooze has always been exceptional in service and aesthetics (hopefully will continue to be).. Comment on two products: The southwest mexican inspired Deli Soup-Delicious!, Thought I would try their canned soup, as their Deli soup is so good. • Cashier Complaint

Last Thursday I took my husband who suffers with neurological issues (including alzheimers) caused by chemotherapy with me. I try to let him do small tasks to give him a feeling of being helpful. I handed him a tube of cream to pay for and gave him cash. I told him to go ahead of me so that if he had trouble I'd be there. I turned to grab some bagels off the table by the line and while doing so the man in front of him told him to go ahead of him. It was easier to just go ahead , than for him since he has trouble getting the right words out. My husband walked over to the bench and sat... More...

  • Bakery

Though they are the closest grocery store to our home, we have recently stopped shopping at Publix (00897). The cause was the Bakery. We figured that if we could not trust the Bakery (Publix branding) then we should not trust them store wide. Situations: 1. They have a delicious 'special' cakes. They now cost 24.99. The is $5.00 increase in cost within the past year and the cakes are now much, much smaller then they were orginally ... Some of them are about the size of a large cup cake (7" cakes for 25.00?). We pay $3 more at another bakery, but the cakes are 12",... More...

I was in Publix ( Hollywood Young circle Florida) today (06/01/2012 ) and I actually witnessed a cashier hit a customer on her hand because she asked for her name to report her to a manager! unbelievable I could not entrust my eyes......How dare the cashier feel that she can hit a customer. If it were me I would have called the Police and have her arrested on the spot! all I heard the Manager Brian Jackson say to the lady is that he was sorry that it happened. • Disrespect

I enjoy working at Publix, but not when it comes to being mistreated. I have worked there since September and working with my co-workers is a great opportunity! However, I feel unwanted and mistreated by a manager at Publix. I am so hurt that I feel deep down in my heart that quitting is the right thing to do. I hate to do this, but because of this experience I am dealing with really makes Publix not a great place to work. I am very upset due to our motto "Where Working Is A Pleasure." Going to Publix is not a chore, it's a pampering. Last time I went, 4 people came up to me asking if I was finding everything OK and then stayed around to hear my answer. A few years ago, friends and I were talking about how there is TERRIBLE customer service almost everywhere. You get home from the store (20 miles away) to find you've been given the wrong chicken order. What do you expect when you call to complain? You state your case and are astounded to hear, "Ma'am, where do you live?" You tell the courteous voice on the other end. Response: "We'll have your chicken out to you in 30 minutes. Please keep our mistake at no cost ." I was not dreaming. They did exactly that with smiles and apologies. Ever have your car break down in a supermarket parking lot? My husband takes medication on a regular basis and has been for years and I have placed them on auto refill, however this morning when I called I was told I had to call the dr office. Well I called the dr office and they told me that the pharmacist needed to do the request electronically. The pharmacist should have known this and did her job to request it.

I have been a Publix customer for more than 30 years, that would not shop at any other store, but lately I find that many products are not in shelves, new employees not well trained, some rude, and management not supervising the way they should, even the quality of some of the products has gone down. I have found this to happen even in the new stores recently opened. I have tried a competitor, and they are a bit superior in service and supplies. I would hate to change to a competitor I have been with Publix too long.
